STEP 1: Obtain the asset bundle

Extracting asset bundles from the game files is the first step of modding.

Don't have game files? The Internet Archive has some versions hosted here: https://archive.org/download/fusionfallbetabuilds
If you've played FusionFall on your computer before, you can find asset bundles in your cache: AppData\LocalLow\Unity\Web Player\Cache

Drag the resource file into your disunity folder and open a command prompt.
The command to extract bundles is disunity.bat bundle-extract

DisUnity will create a new folder containing the asset bundle.

STEP 3: Load the asset file in Unity to browse models

Remember, you need an old version of Unity. Click here to download Unity 3.0

Identify the model you want to export by viewing the contents of the asset file in Unity.

The index number for this model is 474. Make sure the file you find is an obj.

Drag and drop the asset bundle, then enter the index number for the model you want.

Enter the command "export [filename].obj"

The model will be saved in the dankff subfolder.

And you're done!
