What is Girl Talk, you ask? It's a mini-series starring Kate, a trash-talking diva beamed straight from the astral plane to give you a daily glimpse of politics, her gloriously unwarranted opinions, and some good old-fashioned motherfuckin’ girl talk.

    Biography

Kate is not here to be polite. She's here to provoke, perform, and occasionally predict the end of civilization. Whether she's ranting about geopolitics, roasting public figures, or waxing poetic about brain rot, Kate is the spiritual embodiment of late-night doomscrolling. Think Greek oracle combined with a Twitter thread, with glitter and attitude added on top.

Her origins are intentionally vague. Some say she’s an ancient AI gone rogue. Others claim she’s the ghost of a reality TV producer trapped in a cursed ring light. What we know for sure is this: Kate has opinions. Loud ones. And they’re coming at you fast.

Girl Talk reports on real-world events, but it is a satirical series. All commentary, characters, and claims made in the show are fictional and exaggerated for comedic and artistic effect. Nothing Kate says should be interpreted as the author’s actual political beliefs.

Episodes feature stylized monologues animated in a pseudo-puppet style. There are quick-cut edits, exaggerated poses, and fast-paced delivery. Kate is the only character, but her presence fills the entire screen. She's got the confidence of a prophet and the mouth of a 2007 YouTube rant.

    About the Series

Girl Talk is an ongoing animated mini-series that blends pop culture satire, political commentary, and internet-era absurdity into bite-sized episodes. Created using a mix of Flash-style animation and modern tools, it brings back the sharp wit of early web cartoons with a slightly unhinged and esoteric twist.

The series uses real-world headlines as launchpads for surreal tangents, layered references, and cartoon chaos. While Kate’s voice is fictional, the topics are real. The show explores them with irony, contradiction, and deliberate exaggeration.

    Disclaimer

Girl Talk is a parody project. It is not affiliated with or representative of any real-life political organization, ideology, or figure. All names, scenarios, and opinions are fictitious and should not be taken literally. The character of Kate is a narrative device for commentary and satire.

    Animation Workflow Note

We experimented with a looping animation technique by stitching two 5-second clips together and reversing the result to create a seamless 20-second loop. It didn’t quite fit the tone of Girl Talk, so we ended up not using it.

Still, the process worked well and is worth remembering for future projects. Reversing animation like this can be a simple way to extend scenes while keeping motion fluid. We used ezgif.com/reverse-video for the reversal step, and tested both Leonardo and Runway during production.
