FusionFall Retro and Retrobution

FusionFall Retro is the historical fan revival that closed in 2020. Retrobution is a separate community-driven modified experience that continues ideas and content associated with Retro and is played through the current OpenFusion launcher workflow.

What happened to FusionFall Retro?

Retro restored and expanded the original FusionFall experience, but the original Retro service is no longer operating. Old Retro launchers, videos and downloads remain historical preservation material and should not be confused with a current online service.

  • Keep archived Retro files separate.
  • Do not expect an old standalone launcher to connect.
  • Use current project instructions for online play.

What is FusionFall Retrobution?

Retrobution is a modified community continuation inspired by FusionFall Retro. Current community reports and OpenFusion documentation identify it as an actively used alternative server with game changes and additional content; it is not the same as the default OpenFusion Original/Future or Academy servers.

  • Uses the current OpenFusion launcher workflow.
  • Has its own server setup and account.
  • Community status and download instructions can change.
