Community build​

This release was tested on Paper 26.2 with Java 25 and a graphical Java 26.2 client. The included validation report records the checks, rendering evidence and optional integrations that were not tested. The compatibility range and performance claims above describe the upstream product; they are not measurements of every version or server configuration.

Setup and dependencies​

1. Stop the server and back up the existing CosmeticsCore configuration, wardrobes and resource pack.
2. Extract the release ZIP. Install its CosmeticsCore JAR and a ProtocolLib build compatible with the server version. Keep only one CosmeticsCore JAR.
3. Start the server once. CosmeticsCore downloads its declared runtime libraries, including FastNbt 1.4.20, and generates its configuration.
4. Extract the bundled default assets. Copy the CosmeticsCore cosmetic configuration into the matching plugin directory. Install the optional ItemsAdder or ModelEngine assets only when using those integrations.
5. Merge and host the resource pack, then configure the server to send it to players. Use the included modern 26.2 pack for a 26.2 client.
6. Set the wardrobe camera, mannequin, entrance and exit locations for the world. Reload the main and cosmetic configuration.
7. For Java 26.2, use Easy, Normal or Hard difficulty. Peaceful clients reject the invisible entities used by wardrobe interactions and cosmetic attachment points. Natural mob spawning can be disabled separately.

Required: ProtocolLib. Optional integrations: ItemsAdder, ModelEngine, Nova, PlaceholderAPI and Vulcan where compatible. MySQL storage is optional; YAML storage is available by default.
