The pack protection sucks, actually.

1. Get the server resource pack from the .minecraft\server-resource-packs directory
2. They are all zip files, find the one for a specific server. Or delete them all and join the server and redownload the pack.
3. Add a .jar at the end
4. Open it in tools like JD-GUI
5. In the case of JD-GUI, drag the pack into it and then go to File > Save All Sources
6. Select a directory
7. Take a look at anything useful inside the pack

So, yeah. It sucks. Java tricks.
